Comment fonctionne le calcul de distance ?
Les distances sont calculées avec la formule de Haversine, qui donne la distance orthodromique entre deux points sur une sphère — le chemin le plus court à la surface de la Terre. Le résultat est précis à quelques kilomètres près pour la plupart des paires de villes. La formule suppose une Terre parfaitement sphérique ; la Terre réelle étant légèrement aplatie, les très grandes distances peuvent différer jusqu'à 0,5 % de la distance géodésique exacte.
